In the realm of Premier Esprit, where emotion shapes power and hierarchy molds identity, uniforms are more than fabric—they are declarations of role, rank, and resonance. Every stitch carries meaning. Every color tells a story. Whether crossing the marbled streets of the Crest or descending into the moss-covered ports of the Trough, one can read a person’s purpose by the embroidery on their chest, the cut of their coat, and the weight of their epaulettes.

The Commandants: Ivory & Gold

Résonateur Commandants wear highly structured ivory greatcoats with epaulettes. These coats are more than formalwear—they are stitched with personal meaning. Most feature detailed gold embroidery composed of seeds, saplings, and floral motifs that personally symbolize the wearer’s identity. No two commandant greatcoats are alike. Embroidery is typically placed across the chest, sleeves, and along the coattails. These uniforms mark elite leaders and resonate authority.

The Résonateurs: Tailored and Trimmed

While the Commandants lead, the standard Résonateurs follow with hand-tailored ivory coats. Their embroidery is often less elaborate but still customized to each Résonateur's taste. The coat’s structure remains neat, with gold buttons and clean lines. Epaulettes are reserved only for those of command rank.

The Commandant Suprême: Absolute Control

The Commandant Suprême is the highest-ranking Résonateur, set apart by a unique ivory uniform bearing flourishes not granted to others. This may include a high collar lined with fur, a layered or modified lapel structure, and detailed embroidery not limited to gold. The overall effect is one of restraint, intimidation, and reverence.

The Archivistes: Lilac Intelligence

Information is power, and the archivistes wield it from behind veils of paper and protocol. Their uniforms are soft lilac, evocative of mystery and intellect. These coats have gold buttons and subtle decoration on the lapel for those in higher ranks. The look is clean, functional, and ever watching.

The Chancelier: Violet Dominance

The chancelier stands alone in the hierarchy of power, cloaked in flowing robes of deep imperial purple, a color reserved for none but him. As the right hand of the Suzerain and the supreme head of the Sommet, the chancelier holds jurisdiction over all governance—from legislation to oversight, from protocol to punishment. Archivistes answer to him.

When he walks, the sound of his fabric alone is enough to still a room.

The Enquête: Navy Shadows

The Enquête, Premier Esprit’s investigative force, wear navy blue uniforms with bronze buttons. Their silhouettes are sharp and minimal. Most members wear featureless bronze masks to conceal their identities. Embroidery is limited to a single bronze iris over the chest, signifying judgment and scrutiny. The coats suggest precision, secrecy, and fear. Bronze epaulettes are reserved for the Enquête's highest rank, Magistrat.

The Solenoid Ingénieurs: White and Black Precision

Charged with maintaining the mysterious Solenoids and siphons, ingénieurs wear white uniforms with precise, clean lines. A single black stripe runs down each sleeve.

Their coats feature high necklines, larger black buttons, and a squared-off cut, often reinforced with weather-resistant fabric. No embroidery is present except for the elite ranks—those few who may wear silver. Black is reserved for the highest rank, Grand Ingénieur.

Sub-opérateurs and Port Workers: Earthen Utility

Found in harbors, loading docks, and assisting aérien opérateurs, these workers wear beige uniforms, made of durable material designed for wear and grime. The cut is practical, often in the form of coveralls for port workers. Though plain at first glance, some veteran workers add colored cords or patches denoting years of service or favored towns.

The Chief Aérien Opérateurs: Teal in the Skies

Operating the soulevers that sail the skies, aérien opérateurs wear teal uniforms. These coats are often shorter, reaching just below the hip. The embroidery, when present, is brassy gold, often shaped like wings or birds. The best aérien opérateurs have uniforms decorated with medals and badges.

The Guards: Burgundy with Muscle

Security personnel, whether in the capital, outer towns, or as escorts for Résonateurs, wear burgundy uniforms with silver buttons. These uniforms typically feature leather straps and functional belts for carrying weapons or batons.

These uniforms not only reflect order and status—they’re reminders. In a world where emotion can rupture stone and ripple air, clothing must be both anchor and proclamation. Whether stitched with gold thread or dyed in soot, every uniform in Premier Esprit is a second skin—a story worn upon the body, visible to all.

Let the outsiders whisper of strange embroidery and elegant coats. The citizens of Premier Esprit know better. The cloth does not make the rank.

But it does carry the weight of it.
